Fabric Care

Flat Sheets

  • Wash with similar colours in cold water.
  • Select a gentle wash cycle on your washing machine.
  • Avoid using bleach or harsh detergents.
  • For drying, either line dry in the shade or use a dryer on a low heat setting.
  • If needed, iron on a warm setting for a crisp finish.
  • To reduce wrinkles: Shake the fabric well after washing and before drying. Avoid overloading the washing machine to let the sheets move freely. Remove the sheets immediately after drying to keep wrinkles from settling in.

Blankets

  • Wash in cold water with similar colours.
  • Use a gentle wash cycle on your machine.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Tumble dry on medium heat and remove immediately once dried.

Throws

  • Wash throws in cold water.
  • Tumble dry on low heat to remove dampness, then lay them flat to air dry.
  • After air drying, place them back in the dryer for a few minutes to restore softness.

Quilts

  • Wash in cold water with similar colours.
  • Use a liquid detergent without bleach or brighteners for coloured bedding.
  • For whites, use non-chlorine brighteners or bleach as needed.
  • Wash in a spacious washing machine on a gentle cycle. Avoid using bleach unless specified.
  • Dry in a large dryer on the lowest heat setting, or line dry in the shade. Avoid over-drying.
  • Do not iron or steam.

Towels and Bathrobes

  • Wash in cold water with similar colours.
  • Use a liquid detergent that does not contain bleach or brighteners.
  • Dry on a low or medium heat setting in the dryer, or line dry in the shade.
  • Shedding during the first wash and dry cycle is normal and will reduce over time.
  • To keep towels soft: Wash them separately from clothes or bedding to prevent damage from buttons, zippers, or fasteners.
  • To avoid fading: Wash towels immediately if they come into contact with makeup or skincare products, as these may cause discolouration.
